Cranberry galette

Maybe you like cranberry sauce? Maybe you like pie? Maybe you want bother together? You do.


1 store bought pie dough roll

1 cup cranberries

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup flour

1 egg

1 tbsp sugar in the raw granules for garnish

1 tsp cinnamon for garnish

Preheat oven to 357 degrees.

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

Roll your pie dough out, being sure to seal any cracks back together.

In a bowl, fold together the cranberries, flour and sugar.

Pour the berry sugar mixture into the center of the dough, keeping most towards the middle.

Fold the outer edges on the dough into itself towards the middle. Fold over the next piece and so on.

Whisk your 1 egg in a small bowl, then brush on to the top of the dough edges of the galette. sprinkle with cane sugar and cinnamon.

Bake the galette for 30-40 mins or until the edges begin to brown and the middle bubbles.

Remove from the oven and top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! I was out of ice cream - so I drizzled with honey. Completely preference :)
